VISITING THE PRESERVE
The Preserve occupies a spectacular headland thrusting out into the Pacific. As you start to walk down the access road, the Point Cabrillo Light Station is arrayed before you, made up of the Lighthouse itself and three original lightkeepers' houses and outbuildings. The lighthouse, which has been fully restored, is open from 11 AM to 4 PM, Saturdays and Sundays, from the first weekend of March through the last weekend in October.

The Preserve is open for pedestrian use from sunrise to sunset daily. Parking: The Light Station is approximately one half mile walk from the entry gate. Please park vehicles in the paved parking area off of Point Cabrillo Drive. The parking area is open from 9am to 6pm daily. Handicapped access parking is available at the Light Station in front of the residences.

Please use established trails and keep dogs leashed and under control at all times.

Use extreme caution near the ocean and bluffs. Erosion undercuts the bluff edges making them unstable, and ocean waves are unpredictable.
