Volunteer Opportunities

Lighthouse Banner

Volunteer Picnic You may volunteer in the 1909 Light House, working in our gift shop or interpreting the exhibits in the museum. You may wish to help people locate whales during our Whale Festival (1st and 3rd weekend in March). We offer year round opportunities to lead visitors on tours of the 300-acre State Park and Nature Preserve. You can interpret and discuss our tide pool exhibit at the 200 gallon salt water aquarium, or tell the story of being a light keeper family living in the First Assistant Light Keeper’s Home.  Of course, we always need help in the office with data entry and volunteer record keeping, or help with garden maintenance and keeping the park beautiful. Whatever your interest, their is an opportunity for you to volunteer at Point Cabrillo.
